El Carter, Indiana (AP)-After the annual family event is cancelled by the coronavirus pandemic, a city in northern Indiana will bring back a summer music festival built around kart racing.
Elkhart officials announced on Wednesday that the Thor Industries Elkhart Riverwalk Grand Prix will return from August 13 to 14, when there will be karting competitions, live music performances, fireworks and other events on the city streets.
Elkhart Truth reported that the race will be conducted in cooperation with the American Automobile Club Kart, and this year will include a rebuilt park between the front section and the maintenance area. Mayor Rod Roberson said he and other city officials were “excited” about the return of the game after the pandemic timed out.
